Our grant writing process works in distinct phases to ensure that your application is as strong as possible. In the earliest stages, we work together to assess the goals of your project, confirm its scope, and determine which funding agencies are best aligned with your interests. The following information will guide you through the complete trajectory from first meeting to completion of your project.
Getting Started
- Meet and greet phone call so we better understand your project.
- Work towards submitting the required documents for us to start the process.
- You may request a plan of action (POA) be completed. This is a document created that will give suggestions of grants we would recommend for your organization.
- If you have grants you would like us to apply for, provide details or information to KJ Street Consulting.
Application Process
- Confirm which applications you would like to move forward with.
- KJ Street will start to work on the applications.
- Once we have an application ready, we will send it to you for review.
- Review the document and make edits or recommendations.
- Once the edit process is complete, we will submit the application on your behalf or give you instructions on how to apply.
- If the grant agency requests more information, KJ Street Consulting will provide support to complete the questions.
Grant Approval
- You’ll be sent a notification of whether or not the grant has been approved.
- Once your organization receives a grant, the funds are spent and the project is complete, we will help with reconciliation of the grant or any requirements from the donor.
When your project is complete, please share photos with KJ Street.
